Reports to: Director of Sales, United Kingdom
Location: United Kingdom
Status: Full time

We're looking for an exceptional Business Development Director (BDD) to join our winning sales team! The ideal candidate is a successful sales executive within the Information Technology outsourcing industry with a background in Application development, maintenance, and testing services.

Responsibilities

Please review these carefully:

  • The BDD will be responsible for identifying, ranking, developing and managing prospects and then successfully bringing the prospect through the sales pipeline to a successful close.
  • The BDD will work with internal global presales, solutions, and operations teams to insure solutions are built to support client needs.
  • The BDD will be responsible for ongoing relationship management with client for whom Lionbridge has already started work.  

Required Skills/Background

Please review these requirements carefully:

  • A minimum of 5 years of consultative selling experience in information technology field.
  • Experience must include corporate sales successes, at the FT 500/enterprise account size
  • Must be comfortable working at senior executive contact levels
  • Able to develop sales strategies, value/benefit analysis, ROI.
  • Strong knowledge and prior experience in Consulting/Outsourcing Services sales.
  • Must have strong team leadership skills, yet able to generate individual high level of sustained sales activity.
  • Must have a proven record of increasingly higher levels of sales success.  

Desired Skills and Background

Prior successful experience selling for similar consulting and/or outsourcing companies coupled with successful experience selling large multi-year services contracts for one or more of the following services: Application Development, Application Maintenance, Application and System Testing.

  • Media/Publishing/Education
  • IT / Telco
  • Independent Software Vendor
  • Consumer Portals
  • Banking / Financial Services

Experience structuring onshore/offshore projects for large customers.

Education/Certification Required

A Bachelors degree is required, with a preference for a degree in business, computer technology, or technology engineering field.
