Rory J. Cowan, Chairman and CEO
Prior to founding Lionbridge in 1996, Cowan was executive vice president and member of the Management Committee for R.R. Donnelley & Sons. He also was chief executive officer of Stream International Inc., a multi-billion dollar division of R.R Donnelley. Cowan joined R.R. Donnelley in 1988 as senior vice president of the Documentation Services Group, and later became group president. Prior to Donnelley, Cowan was president and chief executive officer of CSA Press of Hudson, Mass., a 1986 acquisition of R.R. Donnelley. He also held positions at Compugraphic Corporation, in Wilmington, Mass., and London, England. Cowan is currently a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of LoJack Corporation (NASDAQ: LOJN). He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sielox LLC and a member of the Board of Directors of Invoke Solutions. Cowan is a member of the Board of Trustees of Deerfield Academy. Cowan served as Chairman of Interleaf until its sale to Broadvision; Chairman of FairMarket until its sale to eBay and Chairman of NewsEdge Corporation until its sale to Thompson. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Webline until its sale to Cisco. Cowan received his A.B. and M.B.A. from Harvard University.

Donald Muir, Chief Financial Officer
Muir leads the Lionbridge global finance team and is responsible for worldwide accounting, risk management, reporting, and financial control activities of the company. Muir has more than 25 years of public company financial management and treasury experience in the technology and business services sectors, most recently as CFO of Evergreen Solar. Prior to Evergreen, Muir spent 10 years at American Power Conversion (APC), an S&P 500 company. As CFO, he facilitated APC’s growth from $400 million to $1.7 billion in revenue, directed the Company’s financial strategy, aligned worldwide business processes, and helped lead the conversion of APC from a product focus to a solutions orientation.
Prior to APC, Muir held a variety of senior financial and operational management positions including treasurer and director of finance for Stratus Computer, a multi-billion dollar provider of high-availability hardware systems. Earlier in his career, Muir held several finance and operations positions at Prime Computer and Wallace Murray Corporation. Muir is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and holds an MBA from Boston University.

Satish Maripuri, Chief Operating Officer
Maripuri leads and manages the worldwide operations of Lionbridge. He is responsible for setting corporate strategy and achieving profitable growth in each of the company’s 26 country operations including six delivery centers in India, China and Central Europe. Since joining Lionbridge in 2003, he has been instrumental in transforming Lionbridge into an offshore outsourcing company and expanding its global execution capabilities to grow revenue from $160M in 2005 to $452M in 2007. With more than 4600 employees worldwide – more than 2000 of them in delivery centers in Mumbai, Chennai, Beijing, Warsaw and Zilina – Maripuri has been instrumental in empowering leaders across business units to embrace local accountability with global collaboration.
Maripuri has received recognition in the business world for his contributions, including the 2008 Bharat Samman Pravasi Award, NRI Institute, Delhi, India; 2008 Hind Rattan Award, NRI Welfare Society, Delhi, India; 2008 International Business Awards – The Stevies, Finalist, Best Executive of North America; 2007 Business Person of the Year Award, IndUS Business Journal; 2007 Pride of India Award , NRI Institute.
Maripuri has 23 years of experience in building and growing successful global software and services organizations. Before Lionbridge, he was the SVP of Business Development for Imprivata, a provider of identity and access management security solutions. He also served for 7 years as President and COO at eXcelon Corporation, formerly Object Design; eXcelon Corporation grew from a $12 million organization to a $60 million organization in that period of time.
Maripuri sits on the Board of Digital Arbor and is a Charter Member of TiE-Boston.

Paula Shannon, Chief Sales Officer, Senior Vice President and General Manager
Shannon manages Lionbridge’s global sales forces and account management teams. As Co-General Manager of the Localization Business, she drives new services and sustainable solutions, develops strategic accounts, and ensures the continued delivery of innovation and execution excellence to a broad range of Global 1000 customers. Shannon joined Lionbridge in 1999 as Vice President of Internet Alliances and assumed additional responsibilities in 2001. Prior to joining Lionbridge, Shannon was the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of International Sales for Alpnet, Inc., now SDL. She has more than 22 years of experience in the industry, including 10 years in senior roles with Berlitz International in California, Washington, D.C., and Canada, where she drove global accounts and managed a North American sales team. Shannon is fluent in English, French, and Dutch, and functional in German, Spanish, and Russian. Educated in the US and Belgium, she holds a B.A. in Russian and German with a minor in Linguistics from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
In January 2004, Shannon won the coveted International Stevie Award as “Best Sales Executive.” The International Business Awards are the first global, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. Almost 500 nominations from companies and individuals in more than 30 countries and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in several categories. As Lionbridge's Chief Sales Officer, Shannon was recognized for her outstanding leadership and sales achievements in 2003 and her continued commitment to innovation, integrity, and excellence. In 2006, she was honored with a Women in Business award as “Best Canadian Executive.”

Dave Flanagan, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer
Flanagan is responsible for the deployment of Lionbridge's technology, including R&D, internal applications and infrastructure, and customer support. With more than 20 years' experience in IT services development and delivery, Flanagan came to Lionbridge from StorageNetworks, a managed storage provider offering outsourcing for all primary and backup data, where he served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Services. At StorageNetworks, Flanagan was responsible for the company's internal technology strategy, hosted services, consulting, and the customer support center. Flanagan has also held roles at I-Cube (International Integration Inc.), an IT solutions provider specializing in the building of large-scale electronic business solutions and custom software applications, and the Boston Consulting Group, an international leader in business strategy consulting. Flanagan is a current member and past board member of SIMs (Society of Information Management).

Henri Broekmate, Senior Vice President and General Manager
Broekmate is responsible for leading Lionbridge's strategic global account services. He joined Lionbridge in April 2001 from TRADOS Corporation, where as Executive Vice President of E-business, he led a strategic business unit designed to drive translation automation technology to the web. Broekmate was Chief Operating Officer of TRADOS from 1996 to 2000, with P&L responsibility for the company's worldwide operations. Previously, as Localization Business Manager for Stream Language Solutions, he equipped Stream's U.S.-based sales executives with the ability to market and sell localization services. Broekmate was also Managing Director of Stream Language Solutions Nederland from 1994 to 1995, and served as a Project Manager for INK International from 1988 to 1992. He served on the Executive Committee of the Localization Industries Standards Association (LISA) from 1997 to 2000 and on the Editorial Advisory Board of Multilingual Computing & Technology from 2002 to 2007. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Four Winds * Westward Ho Camp on Orcas Island, Washington. Broekmate earned his MBA from Bradford University Management Centre (UK), and earned a BA and MA in English Language & Literature from The Free University of Amsterdam (NL).

Peggy Shukur, Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Shukur is responsible for Lionbridge’s worldwide legal affairs and manages its legal department, in addition to serving as Secretary to its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Lionbridge in 2000 as the Company’s first General Counsel, Shukur served as Senior Securities Counsel for Oak Industries, a $500 million NYSE company, through its acquisition by Corning in 2000, and as Senior Attorney at Digital Equipment Corporation, through its acquisition by Compaq in 1998. Shukur was previously an associate at the Boston law firm of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault. She earned her BA with honors at the University of Wisconsin, and graduated from Boston College Law School, cum laude.

Sara Buda, Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development
Buda is responsible for Lionbridge’s comprehensive investor relations program and worldwide corporate development activities, including acquisitions and strategic alliances. Buda has managed investor relations and corporate communications programs for public and private companies in the technology, IT services, and business services industries for over 13 years. Prior to joining Lionbridge in 2001, Buda served as Director of Corporate Communications for ZEFER Corp., where she managed the Company’s initial public offerings and oversaw all internal and external communications. Buda was previously a Senior Account Manager at Porter Novelli, a worldwide communications firm, where she established an investor relations and financial communications practice for the firm’s Boston office.
