WALTHAM, Mass. - January 15, 2002 - Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX), today announced that it has been selected by Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE), a leader in network publishing. With the agreement, Lionbridge will localize the company's recently released Adobe® Illustrator® 10 graphics software into Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Korean.
Adobe chose Lionbridge based on its ability to provide the Adobe team with improved quality and a more manageable localization process.
According to Adobe's Localization Program Management team, Japanese is the company's most important and most challenging market and the localization process required a partner Adobe could count on to provide quality, reliability and speed.
Adobe Systems' Illustrator 10 delivers robust tools to lay out Web pages, create high-quality vector or raster graphics, optimize file size, and automate repetitive tasks. Illustrator enables users to easily produce high-quality, low maintenance Web pages and professional-quality graphics.
"The world acknowledges Adobe's quality expectations and leadership in the digital publishing market," said Rory Cowan, CEO, Lionbridge. "Lionbridge's opportunity to work with Adobe demonstrates the reliability and quality of our team of professionals in Asia and throughout the world."
