Edward A. Blechschmidt Joins Lionbridge Board of Directors

Former Unisys CFO and President of Asia Pacific Operations Brings International Services and Technology Expertise; Seasoned Industry Veteran Further Strengthens Lionbridge Board

WALTHAM, Mass. - February 05, 2003 - Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX), a provider of outsourced globalization, testing and development services, today announced the addition of Edward A. Blechschmidt to its Board of Directors. Blechschmidt has more than 30 years experience in leading multi-billion dollar global technology and services organizations.

With more than 20 years tenure at Unisys Corporation, Blechschmidt held a variety of executive positions including President of Unisys Pacific Asia Americas Division, President of Unisys Japan and Chief Financial Officer. In these roles he helped define the company's global services and technology strategy and managed international operations. After Unisys, Blechschmidt served as Chief Executive of Pyramid Technologies and Siemens Nixdorf Americas where he was responsible for Siemens IT services businesses and operational execution in 12 countries.

Blechschmidt recently served as Chairman and Chief Executive of Gentiva Health Services (Nasdaq: GTIV) and continues to serve on their Board of Directors. At Gentiva he was responsible for leading the company's five fold increase in market capitalization. Prior to Gentiva, Blechschmidt was President and Chief Executive of Olsten Corporation.
