WALTHAM, Mass. - July 23, 2002 - Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX) announced it has extended its long-standing relationship with Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) by establishing an alliance with the Microsoft .NET Enterprise Server Division. "Integrating Lionbridge services and technology with Microsoft Content Management Server is a powerful milestone on the road to global enterprise content management," said Eric Swift, lead product manager for .NET Enterprise Servers at Microsoft. "Using the LionAccess platform together with Content Management Server, customers have a powerful solution for building highly dynamic Internet, intranet and extranet Web sites with great localization capabilities. Customers receive incredible value since together with Lionbridge we are effectively reducing the time required to build, deploy and maintain these global sites."
Microsoft Content Management Server is an integrated member of the .NET Enterprise Server family. It features out-of-the-box integration with Microsoft Commerce Server, enabling customers to deploy personalized and targeted e-commerce sites quickly. Using the latest Microsoft .NET technology, Lionbridge has extended its LionAccess platform for Microsoft Content Management Server allowing customers to create, edit, localize and publish multilingual content for international markets.
The combined Lionbridge and Microsoft solution enhances customers' return on their content management investment, eliminates costs associated with maintaining separate systems for localization and content management, and reduces the implementation time required to extend their content management solution globally.
"With Microsoft Content Management Server, Microsoft is reducing the time required to bring Web site applications to market, while offering the scalability needed for the most demanding environments," said Rory Cowan, CEO, Lionbridge. "Lionbridge and Microsoft continue to work closely as we extend and enhance the capabilities of Microsoft Content Management Server.
