Lionbridge Announces India Expansion To Meet Increasing Customer Demand for Global Outsourcing Services

Waltham, Mass. — January 29, 2004 — Lionbridge Technologies (Nasdaq: LIOX), today announced that it will expand its operations in Mumbai, India with the addition of 500 engineers and project managers by mid-2004. This addition will bring the Company's total India-based resources to approximately 1,300. The expanded India operations enhance Lionbridge's global outsourcing services, which combine program management onsite or near client operations with cost-effective delivery resources throughout the world.

The Lionbridge India solution center includes highly skilled engineering and content development teams with expertise in software, content and eLearning courseware solutions.
