WALTHAM, Mass. - December 10, 2002 - Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX) today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Chinasoft Network Technology Co., LTD, (Shanghai: Chinasoft 600536) the publicly-traded division of China National Computer Software and Technology Service Corporation (CS&S), one of China's largest software development conglomerates.
The combination of Chinasoft's broad base of technology development resources and expertise, with Lionbridge's proven globalization, testing and development services will create one of the world's most scalable, high-quality, low cost, software development and global deployment service organizations.
Leveraging Chinasoft's development expertise and broad base of technical resources, the agreement will expand Lionbridge's Application Development and Maintenance capabilities which combine "onshore" project management, with cost-effective "near shore" operations in Ballina, Dublin, and Galway, Ireland and "offshore" development in Beijing, China.
