WALTHAM, Mass. - October 16, 2002 - Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX) today announced a new agreement with Microsoft Inc. (Nasdaq: MSFT), the world's leading business and personal software company. The three-year, multi-million dollar contract expands the long-standing partnership between the two companies and formalizes Lionbridge's role as a localization and testing provider for prominent Microsoft products through June, 2005.
Lionbridge also received Microsoft's Premier Status under the Microsoft Vendor Program. Premier status is given to suppliers who meet certain criteria in specific categories set by Microsoft. The program's goal is to identify qualified and competitive suppliers who can handle the majority of Microsoft's outsourced localization work.
