Esteemed Industry Program Recognizes Lionbridge's Contribution to Global Technology Innovation

WALTHAM, Mass. - April 10, 2003 - Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX) today announced that it has received an award for inclusion in the 2003 Computerworld Honors Collection, an initiative between leaders in the information technology industry and nearly 100 museums and research institutions worldwide, including the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History.

Lionbridge was nominated for the award by its client, Morgan Stanley. Inclusion in the Honors Collection recognizes Lionbridge as an organization whose use of information technology has been especially noteworthy for the originality of its conception, the breadth of its vision, and the significance of its benefit to society. Lionbridge has contributed a case study to the Collection, which will be distributed to museums, libraries, and research institutions around the world. Lionbridge accepted its award in recognition of the Company's contribution to society in a formal presentation and reception in San Francisco, California, last weekend.

"We are pleased to honor Lionbridge as an organization that has made a positive contribution to the global information technology revolution," said Daniel Morrow, Executive Director, Computerworld Honors Program. "This honor recognizes the extraordinary quality of Lionbridge's work, its impact on society, and its commitment to technology innovation."

Lionbridge was honored for its Rapid Globalization Methodology™, (RGM™), a structured set of processes that facilitate communication, collaboration and best practices across all Lionbridge globalization operation centers worldwide. As a systematic approach to adapting products and content to users' technical, linguistic and cultural expectations, RGM enables Lionbridge to deliver high quality, localized versions of products and content across multiple languages and cultures in a timely fashion.

"The nomination of Lionbridge for this award underscores our continued commitment to delivering innovative technology-driven solutions that enhance customer value," said Rory Cowan, CEO, Lionbridge. "We are honored to be included in this prestigious Collection. This is yet another example of Lionbridge's continued industry leadership and our dedication to delivering language and technology excellence for clients worldwide."

The Computerworld Honors Program brings together the Chairmen or Chief Executive Officers of the foremost information technology companies in the world and the world's leading universities, libraries and research institutions to document a revolution in progress: the global information technology revolution. Established in 1988, the Program is dedicated to identifying the men and women, organizations and institutions, that are leading this revolution and to recording the impact of their achievements on society.

Primary source materials, such as case studies, oral histories, conference proceedings, publications, video tapes, and other records generated by this on-going "search for new heroes" are preserved, protected, and made available to both scholars and the general public, on line but also through a program of source and license donations to affiliated universities, libraries, and research institutions around the world.
