Progress Energy Selects Lionbridge for Specialized Application Development and Maintenance (ADM)

Leading Energy Company Leverages Lionbridge's Program Management and Risk Management Expertise for Mission-Critical Payment Processing Program

WALTHAM, Mass. — September 3, 2003 — Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX) today announced that it has successfully completed an engagement with Progress Energy, a Fortune 250 diversified energy company. Progress Energy leveraged Lionbridge's proven ADM program management and risk management capabilities as the energy company migrated to a new enterprise-scale image-based payment processing solution.
