VeriTest Launches Industry-Wide Anti-Spam Benchmark Service
New Service from Industry's Most Respected Independent Testing Organization Adds Credibility, Enhances Value for Anti-Spam Technology Providers
Waltham, Mass. — November 15, 2004 — VeriTest, a division of Lionbridge (Nasdaq: LIOX) and the industry leader in outsourced testing, today announced the launch of a new anti-spam benchmark service. The new benchmark service will provide anti-spam technology providers with quantitative results that demonstrate how well their solutions block spam. With the service, VeriTest will also provide citable, independent data that anti-spam providers can use to support marketing claims and to substantiate their commitment to minimizing the damaging effects of spam.

The VeriTest Anti-Spam Benchmark Service will be conducted quarterly on a subscription basis. The benchmark measures the spam blocking effectiveness of anti-spam products and services intended for small business and enterprise users. VeriTest's methodology behind the benchmark was designed with input from anti-spam technology developers and trade publications.
Subscribers to the VeriTest Anti-Spam Benchmark Service receive detailed quarterly reports on the performance of their solution, advance access and review of benchmark results disclosed publicly by VeriTest, and membership in VeriTest's Anti-Spam Test Methodology Advisory Council.
