Lionbridge offers an alternative. Language Quality Services (LQS) is an independent auditing process that provides standardized quality assurance testing for all of your translated content.

LQS gives you confidence without the disruption of an internal process. LQS includes:

• Establishing baseline translation performance metrics
• Reviewing all submitted translations against the defined standards
• Developing a comprehensive report that highlights each of the inconsistencies and their degree of variance
• Defining translation standards across a number of industry sectors

Lionbridge is uniquely positioned to evaluate and grade the performance of our customers' translations. To avoid conflicts of interest between Lionbridge translation services and LQS, we have developed a controlled translation review process.

All translators participating in LQS must sign exclusive annual contracts to work as independent, unbiased reviewers. LQS consultants do not review translations that they have been involved in translating. LQS guarantees that it is equally and constructively critical of all vendor translations.

Where quality review resources must be co-located, LQS uses physical barriers to separate the Lionbridge and LQS teams. At no time are the results of the LQS analysis shared with Lionbridge personnel. The LQS program is a true independent audit managed by the world's foremost authority on translation.
