Instructions

To participate in the "BMC Software Certified MarketZone Product" logo program, you must have your product tested to ensure compliance with BMC Software's Certification requirements.

Please follow these simple steps to license the logo:

1. Join the BMC MarketZone Program

2. Register Your Product with BMC MarketZone

3. Ensure Your Product Meets BMC Software's Certification Requirements

4. Register for Testing at VeriTest

5. Submit Your Product to VeriTest for Testing

6. Receive Your Test Results

1. Join the BMC MarketZone Program

Join the MarketZone Program by completing a MarketZone Product Alliance Agreement, available at www.bmc.com/market_zone/partners/pa-requirements.pdf.

2. Register Your Product with BMC MarketZone

Complete a BMC MarketZone Product Registration Form (available at http://devcon.bmc.com) to register your product.

3. Ensure Your Product Meets BMC Software's Certification Requirements

Carefully review the appropriate certification criteria document - we've posted one for Knowledge Modules on our Resources page; the Integration Modules document is available by emailing MarketZone@veritest.com.

If you are uncertain whether your features meet the criteria, please email MarketZone@veritest.com, which allow us to help you resolve any issues before you submit your product for testing.

4. Register for Testing at VeriTest

To register your product, please contact us. Be sure to record the Tracking Number at the end of the registration process, as you will use this number when you submit your product, and in all correspondence. We suggest that you print out the form and circulate it in your workgroup before beginning the process of filling it in and submitting it.

5. Submit Your Product to VeriTest for Testing

You may choose to have VeriTest test your product at your site or in one of our labs. Regardless of where testing is performed, we need two things from you prior to the start of testing:

• A signed VeriTest Master Testing Agreement, available on our Resources Page. Note: You may not edit this document. If you wish to discuss the terms of this agreement, please email MarketZone@veritest.com.

• The test fee, made payable to Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. Please refer to our Pricing Page for payment details.

Testing at Your Site. Email MarketZone@veritest.com to arrange for a VeriTest Engineer to come to your site.

Testing at VeriTest. If you prefer, you may send your KMs or IMs to a VeriTest lab for testing (see below for exact location).

When the test is performed at a VeriTest Lab, we need the following prior to the scheduled test date (in addition to the two items listed above):

• A release candidate of your software product on floppy disk, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.

• Any unusual or proprietary hardware (including servers) required for your product that are unlikely to be in the VeriTest standard library. These items will be returned to you after a final test result is obtained, if requested.

• Any third-party software needed for testing. In order to exercise all monitored parameters, it is likely that you will need to provide a sample database or other dataset with your monitored product. Please review your site license agreement(s) for third party products to avoid any possible conflicts if you choose to send this software to VeriTest.

Please note that you are responsible for costs incurred in shipping your product, including all customs charges. We recommend that you obtain proper insurance for your property when shipping.

Please send your test package to the VeriTest lab in Paris.

6. Receive Your Test Results

You will receive test results within 12 business days from the date your complete product package is received. VeriTest will send a copy of your results to BMC Software, as well.
