Certified for Windows Server 2003

Once Your Product Passes...

Once your product passes the Microsoft "Certified for Windows" test, there are some important steps for you to take. Please read this page carefully.

Having a product pass testing for the “Certified for Windows” program means two things:

  1. Your product is now eligible to be listed in the new Windows Server Catalog of Tested Products and to use the Microsoft “Certified for Windows” logo.  In order to complete the logo process, receive logo artwork and be listed in the catalog, you need to log into your Winqual account on winqual.microsoft.com, and accept the Logo License Agreement (LLA) for the program. Following your acceptance of the LLA, you will receive instructions from Microsoft to obtain the logo artwork.

Questions regarding the Windows Server Catalog can be sent to wscat@microsoft.com.

  2. Your company has met the Certification Requirement for joining the ISV / Software Solution Competency of the Microsoft Partner Program.

In addition to passing this test, you need to submit three (3) customer references to Microsoft to meet the Customer Reference Requirement for the ISV / Software Solution Competency.  Microsoft's "Earning a Competency Guide" explains how to complete customer reference profiles.

By joining the competency, you earn enough Microsoft Partner Points to increase your status in the Microsoft Partner Program to Microsoft Certified Partner.  Additionally, your company earns 50 Microsoft Partner Points for passing the Certified for Windows Server test.

Please note: There are restrictions for the number of Microsoft Partner Points you can earn from tested software solutions. E.g. Microsoft only awards Microsoft Partner Points for one software solution, and Microsoft has capped the maximum number of points that it awards to each partner for tested software solutions.

To redeem your Microsoft Partner Points, register your product under your partner profile on the Microsoft Partner website using the Company Name, Product Name and Product-ID exactly as they appear in the Pass Notification Email you received from us.

Please note that all fields must match the information in the Pass Notification Email. The Product-ID should be valid at the Microsoft site within three (3) working days after you receive the Pass Notification Email.

VeriTest Certification Test Report

Your product’s Certification Test Report, which is attached to your Pass Notification Email, will be posted in the VeriTest Catalog of Windows Certified Server Applications once your Logo License Agreement has been signed.  Please review your Certification Test Report carefully, and include your own comments if you like, as it will become the official report published on our website for public access.

For the Windows 2000 Program, this report refers to the Server Application Specification for Windows 2000 v1.2, and to specific steps within the Certified for Microsoft Windows Server Test Framework v.1.0. For the Windows 2003 Server Program, this report refers to the Microsoft Windows Certification for Windows Server 2003 Application Specification, July 2003, and to specific steps within the Microsoft Windows Certification for Windows Server 2003 Test Framework v.0.95.  You should have copies of the applicable documents to understand this report fully.

Please note that all payments must be current before reports can be posted and certification numbers validated.
