Program Overview
The “Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics” is targeted at applications that interoperate with the most recent versions of Microsoft Dynamics products: Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0, Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0.
Microsoft has raised the technical bar for ISV solutions with this test. The test specifications were developed by Microsoft to increase the quality of applications to operate within a specific Microsoft Dynamics environment. In general, the test specifications are intended to verify ISVs’ development quality of their products, and compatibility with a Microsoft Dynamics product line.
The “Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics” is one of the certification requirements for solutions to be “Certified for Microsoft Dynamics”. Further details of this program can be found on Microsoft's Innovate on Microsoft Dynamics website.
Pre-Certification Services
VeriTest’s Pre-Certification Services help you prepare your product for the Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics, allowing you to release your product on schedule, and continue on the Certified for Dynamics program.
Please Note: VeriTest will waive any Re-Test fees for products for which it completed pre-certification, if VeriTest missed the fail issue during pre-certification. This excludes issues that were identified by VeriTest in the pre-certification report, but not corrected in the build submitted for the full test, as well as new issues introduced in the new build.

Partnering with Microsoft
Both the Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics and the Microsoft Dynamics Test for ISV Solutions are included in the Microsoft ISV Software Testing Framework that aligns with the Microsoft Partner Program. These tests help ISVs achieve the ISV/Software Solutions Competency via Microsoft business management solutions.
Passing the “Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics” also qualifies you to earn 30 Microsoft Partner Points (20 points are awarded for the “Microsoft Dynamics Test for ISV Solutions”). Please note: There are restrictions for the number of Microsoft Partner Points you can earn from tested software solutions. E.g. Microsoft only awards Microsoft Partner Points for one software solution, and Microsoft has capped the maximum number of points that it awards to each partner for tested software solutions.

Microsoft’s Innovate on Microsoft Dynamics website offers a wealth of information for Microsoft Partners to develop, test, and market their solutions that interoperate with the Microsoft Dynamics products.
Pricing (except CRM 4.0)
The following pricing information applies to all Dynamics platforms except CRM 4.0:
- Base Fee: $3,500. This assumes no more than 4 hours installation time, including backend elements. Setup time exceeding 4 hours will be billed at $125 per hour.
- Re-Test Fee for new builds of products that fail the Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics: $1,800
CRM 4.0 Pricing
The following pricing information applies only to CRM 4.0:
- Base Fee: $2,800. This assumes no more than 4 hours installation time, including backend elements. Setup time exceeding 4 hours will be billed at $125 per hour.
- Re-Test Fee for new builds of products that fail the Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0: $1,500
- Installation of non-English CRM platform, if needed: $1,500
Application Interface Language
The base test and re-test fees listed above cover testing of applications with a user interface in any language supported by Microsoft Dynamics products on the condition that installation instructions are provided in English. A surcharge may apply for products with extensive documentation that is not available in English.
Test Period
The turnaround time for this test is 10-15 business days. Once your on-line registration is complete, your payment has been confirmed, and we have received your software (or a way to download it) your product will be queued for testing. (We will make every effort to match the preferred date you indicated during the registration process.) You can expect to receive your test results within the turnaround time listed above.
