Benefits for Resellers


Summary and Intent


Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) with a Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CfMD) solution have the opportunity to extend their CfMD benefits to their Value Added Resellers (VARs). The ISV nominates and approves the reseller. VeriTest, a third-party vendor validates that the reseller has met the requirements.

Initial requirements for Resellers before starting this process

  1. Must be a member of the Microsoft Partner Program at the Certified Partner level (or higher) with MBS competency
  2. Must have sold the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics solution to at least 2 customers in his/her country who will be willing to recommend the CfMD solution throughout this process. (The same customers may be used for this process that the ISV used throughout the original certification process.)

Additional requirements for Resellers throughout the process

  1. Enroll in one of these Microsoft Partner Service Plans.  The following qualify:

  2. Profile your company and the CfMD solution in Solution Finder (Step-by-Step guide). Please make sure you at least select “Software offering” for Solution Type. Additional selections are optional for Solution Type. Only select the Microsoft Dynamics product line, and only one country. You also need to enter the ISV’s Certified for Microsoft Dynamics solution name. Please make sure that the reseller’s solution description is in the local language (English translation is optional) and follows the direction provided by the ISV.

Requirements for the ISVs

  • Have a Certified for Microsoft Dynamics solution.
  • Agree on a support plan with the reseller (including initial training and ongoing technical support for the solution). The parameters and the execution of the support plan will be at the discretion of the ISV and the reseller.
  • Forward the Nomination Form and the Logo License Agreement to the reseller and submit the completed Nomination Form to VeriTest.
  • Upon confirmation from VeriTest that the reseller has met all 4 requirements, forward the CfMD logo and the Press Release template to the reseller. 
  • The fee of authorizing resellers for CfMD needs to be paid by the ISV to VeriTest. The fee covers all steps delivered by VeriTest in point 3. Below of the “Summary of the process” section.

Summary of the process

  1. ISV with the CfMD solution fills out the top part of the Nomination Form for Authorizing Resellers and forwards it to the reseller to complete the bottom part.
  2. The ISV submits the completed Nomination Form to VeriTest at msdynamics@veritest.com
  3. VeriTest:
    1. Validates that the reseller has met all 4 requirements (Checks the Partner Service Plan status, the Solution Finder page for the Certified Partner status and the solution profile, and contacts 2 customers for referral). 
    2. Approves the reseller for the CfMD benefits and informs the reseller about that via e-mail. The extension of the benefits only applies to the reseller signing the Nomination Form. If an ISV wants to revoke CfMD benefits from his/her authorized reseller, the ISV needs to request it via e-mail from VeriTest at msdynamics@veritest.com.  
    3. Attaches the press release template to the e-mail for the ISV who forwards it to the reseller.
    4. Connects the ISV URL and the reseller URL in Dynamics Solution Finder.
    5. Sends in a feed to the Dynamics Solution Finder vendor, so that the local Solution Finder page will show the CfMD logo on the reseller’s page.
  4. The ISV informs the reseller about the extension of the CfMD benefits via e-mail and forwards the CfMD logo and the press release template to him/her. They also agree on a training and support plan at the discretion of the ISV.
