HP Web Jetadmin Software Certification Program

VeriTest®, a service of Lionbridge, has been authorized by Hewlett Packard to provide third-party development and certification of HP Web Jetadmin software plug-ins and device graphics. We look forward to helping you achieve Web Jetadmin compatibility as quickly and easily as possible.

HP Web Jetadmin

Web Jetadmin software (WJA) is a web-based printer management tool designed to centralize print device management and maintenance tasks. Issues such as device installation, configuration, and troubleshooting can be resolved remotely over a customer's network. Device status, ink, toner, paper, and other consumables levels can also be monitored. In addition, page counts, paper jam, and other information can be viewed as well.

VeriTest Deliverables

As a part of the fee-based service, VeriTest develops and tests product specific plug-ins for HP's Web Jetadmin 10.X platform for third party printers. A HP Web Jetadmin (WJA) device plug-in provides access to key printer management functionality:

• Provides a common interface to WJA 
• Provides custom device images and icons
• Specifies fixed data for a device (i.e. pages per minute)
• Specifies how to interact with proprietary functionality (MIB)
• Allows device data to be stored in the WJA database

• HP provides the device plug-in and eliminates the need for you to develop a plug-in
• Opportunity to use HP WJA trademark in your marketing collateral
• Predictable management experience for certified devices
• HP distributes certified plug-ins to all WJA users
• The WJA user interface will contain representative graphics of the printer. You can use your existing graphics as long as they meet certification specifications. If you do not have existing graphics, we can create them for you for an additional cost.

Certification Steps

Please click on the "login" button located to the right side of the screen. Note: If you have login credentials, you will enter your username and password. If you do not have login credentials, please click on the New User link. You will be asked to enter your contact information. Your login credentials will then be sent you within one working day via email.

• After logging in, you will be sent to a registration page. Please ensure that all required information is entered and accurate.
• Once your registration information is completed and submitted, Lionbridge will send a response to you within two working days via email.
• This email will contain a Master Test Agreement (MTA) and a quote based on the information you provided to us. Additionally, it will request that you send us your Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for us to sign.
• Please sign the MTA and send us a copy via email or fax.
• We will return a copy of the signed NDA to you.
• After the above steps have been completed, we will contact you for additional proprietary information about your printer. This information will to be used in the certification process.
• Based on the test site location option selected by you on the registration page:
  1. Testing at our site: You will ship your printer(s) to our location. You will be responsible for all shipping costs related to sending and returning the printer(s).
  2. Testing at your site: A VeriTest Test Engineer will travel to your location. You will be expected to cover all travel expenses. Both parties will agree to these expenses in advance.
• After VeriTest has completed the certification process, the results will be sent to HP.
• HP will verify the results and send a trademark agreement to you. You will need to sign this agreement and return to HP. After that is completed you will have access to HP trademark.
• The plug-ins will be added to a future HP Web Jetadmin release.
