Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics |
Why Do You Need a Test?
The “Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics” is a product test for software products from Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) that integrate and/or interoperate with Microsoft Dynamics products.
It is one of the certification requirements for solutions to be “Certified for Microsoft Dynamics”.
The test also helps you achieve the ISV Competency of the Microsoft Partner Network. Passing the “Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics” also qualifies you to earn 30 Microsoft Partner Points.
Which Solutions Qualify?
The “Software Solution Test for Microsoft Dynamics” is targeted at applications that interoperate with the most recent versions of Microsoft Dynamics products.
Your software needs to be eligible for the Software Solution Test of the considered Microsoft Dynamics Product. Whether your solution is leveraging .net or native Microsoft Dynamics technologies, your software would need to integrate with Microsoft Dynamics. Your software can use an API or X++ or C/Side or Dexterity.
If your solution writes data directly to the Dynamics database which does not occur via Dynamics business logic it will not be considered as an eligible integration. For solutions that read data directly from the Dynamics database which does not occur via Dynamics business logic please contact msdynamics@veritest.com to determine eligibility for this program.
Timing
The turnaround time for this test is 10-15 business days once your on-line registration is complete, your payment has been confirmed, and we have received your software.
Pricing
The fee of the Software Solution Test already covers the fee of the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics accreditation. This is to encourage partners to take advantage of all the benefits of the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics status. Once your solution passes the test, it is worth to continue and complete the additional steps required for the certification. For the same price, you get a lot more when your solution achieves CfMD which is Microsoft's highest standard for partner solutions. Detailed information on pricing.
Expiration
Test results are valid for 24 months. When the test results expire, the ISV partner might decide to have the ISV solution tested again on the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics with the latest service pack installed in order to meet the requirements of the Microsoft Partner Network.
Please note that expired tests don't impact the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics status, only the Microsoft Partner Network status. However, we encourage partners to always test their solution on the latest version of the Microsoft Dynamics platform and thereby upgrade their certifications. For example, we strongly recommend all partners who already tested on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 to test again on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 in countries where it is available. This way they can always provide the latest technology for their customers.

Steps After Passing the Test
In order for the solution to show up correctly in the Dynamics Solution Finder, the partner needs to do the following after passing the test:
Please register your successful Software Solution Test within the Microsoft Partner Membership Center. When the test shows up on your Solution Profiler page, please associate it to your solution by adding a checkmark next to the Tested Product within the Solution Overview tab. Details.
