Meet David Wishon
Great businesses understand the value of talented employees. Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition David Wishon is in charge of finding the incredible people that make up the Lionbridge Pride. From the time he joined in July 2019, David continues to connect with his team in Waltham and beyond to build our community of passionate, dedicated Lions.
Tell us a little bit about your role at Lionbridge :
I am responsible for leading Talent Acquisition at Lionbridge. I help us find, assess, hire, and onboard great talent. This involves implementing the right strategy, tools and processes to engage with talent and then delivering a great experience—both before and after their hire. Proactive and consistent attention to talent acquisition ensures that we will have the right people available at the right time and place. I also work with teams across Lionbridge to ensure our employer value proposition and candidate experience resonate with our talent to attract people now and in our future.

What does a typical workday look like for you?
No day is the same. And I love it that way. Each and every day is a unique mixture of strategy, execution and fun. Most days I work closely with leaders and talent teams across the globe to discuss current recruiting projects and strategize how to find the talent that will help us achieve our goals.
What is the best part of your job?
The people! I work with fantastic, passionate and inspired people. I have the privilege of leading the team that supports existing employees and recruits new talent to fill the exciting opportunities we have here at Lionbridge. It is incredible to see all the amazing things our people contribute to our customers and how each new hire can impact our culture. I love what I do.

What drove you to your particular role with Lionbridge?
The opportunity, the leaders and the company. As a content and crowd company, our talent is a huge part of the special sauce. We take action to place the right people in the right place at the right time for our customers. We have a really diverse talent model with employees, freelancers and crowd workers and we have the significant opportunity of implementing a more holistic strategy around how we scale and deploy talent.
What does a great workday look like for you?
A great workday is well-planned and gets things over the finish line. For me it is about momentum and results.
What makes Lionbridge different in your eyes?
Lionbridge is a leading provider within an exciting and rapidly changing industry. As remote work becomes increasingly popular and customers develop new goals to enrich their content and data, Lionbridge is in a position to make a difference. And as I said before… It is our Lions and our Pride.
