Brossard (hometown: Terrebonne, some 30 miles away from the office)
Director of Operations
How long have you been at Lionbridge?
Almost two years.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
Lots of meetings! I spend most of my time working on finding ways to improve our customers’ satisfaction while being efficient at what we do.
What is your favorite place in your office?
The lunch room, as this is where I can get my many coffee refills (and where I get to have brief chats with my colleagues).
What is the best part of your job?
I love to fix and improve things, and I get to do it on a daily basis! I also get to interact with so many very interesting people, both internally and externally. There is always something to learn on how we do what we do but also how our customers do business.
Fill in the blanks:
I speak 2 languages (list them!)
French and English
My favorite local saying is ______, [and it means ______, if not English].
“Niaise pas avec la puck,” which would literally mean “don’t play with the puck,” a reference to Hockey. It means “Don’t waste your time” or “get to the point.”
A tourist visiting my city shouldn’t miss…
One of the many Music Festivals hosted in Montreal, including the Jazz Fest and Osheaga!
My coworkers say my weirdest habit is…
That I can’t stand still when I’m on the phone, therefore I pace in my office while on speakerphone (or as far as my headset wire allows)!
Outside of work, I always make time for…
Family, friends…and windsurfing (that one is tricky. I can make time for windsurfing, but the winds must play in my favor as well!).
My hidden talent is…
Cooking! I love having people over for dinner and sharing with them a new recipe or a new dish.
Seeing what my team does on a daily basis to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations makes me roar.
