Ann Lazarus-Barnes is responsible for leading the human capital programs and processes that support Lionbridge’s organisation and strategic goals. Ann joined Lionbridge in April, 2016.
Prior to joining Lionbridge, Ann was the Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner at Ascend Learning, a technology education company located in Burlington, MA. While at Ascend, Ann and her client groups worked to increase employee engagement and lead key acquisitions.
Ann previously also worked at Convergys, a customer management business process and outsourcing solution provider, where she was responsible for leading human resources globally, specifically talent management, performance management, and employee/labour relations. Prior to joining Convergys, Ann worked at Fifth Third Bank, a financial service company, where she was responsible for developing talent strategy, performance management, and community relations for the purpose of increasing organisation diversity. Prior to Fifth Third Bank, Ann spent fifteen years with Federated Department Stores (now Macy’s), a retail department store company, in their corporate offices consulting with senior management on recruitment, retention, succession planning, and performance management.
Ann has been recognised nationally by the National Retail Federation with the Silver Award, granted to the individual who makes the most significant contribution to the Retail Industry. She also received Employer of Choice by Executive Female, Diversity, Inc., and the National Retail Federation. Additionally, Ann was recognised in 2012 as Ohio’s Glass Ceiling recipient for her work in the advancement of women.
Ann holds Bachelor’s degrees in History and Soviet Studies from Trinity College, Connecticut. The mother of two adult daughters, she resides with her husband and two bulldogs in Amherst, New Hampshire.
