Translation Proxy: Case Study
A US-based luxury hotel had many international clients, the majority of whom were Chinese speaking. To provide a personalized customer experience for these clients, the hotel decided to localize their website into Chinese. But they needed a responsive, hands-off localization solution that quickly reflected changes to their English site.
We designed a tailored translation proxy solution to meet their needs. It included customization for widgets and popups, and it also included a steady site update workflow. This update workflow used periodic scans of the English site to capture any new content—a setup that allowed minimal client involvement in the Chinese site upkeep.
The client got the hands-off, easy solution they needed, so they don’t have to spend too much time or energy on website maintenance. And the hotel’s Chinese customers are now provided with a seamless digital experience in their own native language.
