Meet the Pride: Lynn Liang

Lionbridge’s Senior Project Management Team Leader

In this installation of our Meet the Pride Series, you’ll meet Lynn, Lionbridge’s Senior Project Management Team Leader. She’s driven by turning complex, high-stakes customer challenges into successful outcomes through creative problem-solving and collaborative teamwork. When she’s not working, Lynn unwinds with museums, indie shows, and Call of Duty. Read more in our blog.

Tell us about your role at Lionbridge.

As a Senior Project Management Team Lead with over a decade of experience, I oversee strategic localization initiatives for two global customers who are giants in their industries: one in gaming, and one in audiovisual technology. My role combines cultural intelligence, linguistic accuracy, and operational leadership to ensure every product launch is both globally scalable and locally resonant. I’m committed to building high-performing teams, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across the entire localization lifecycle.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

What I find most fulfilling in my role is the opportunity to address complex and often high-stakes customer needs through a combination of creative problem-solving and collaborative teamwork. I take great pride in how our team consistently rises to the challenge. We leverage diverse perspectives and strengths to deliver impactful solutions. I feel so motivated by the sense of accomplishment from turning difficult situations into successful outcomes.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

A typical workday begins with reviewing and prioritizing customer inquiries or feedback received overnight. I work closely with the team to ensure we address these issues promptly and effectively, setting a tone of responsiveness and accountability.

Once immediate concerns are resolved, I focus on supporting the team’s strategic priorities. This includes providing guidance, helping team members clarify problem-solving paths, and ensuring alignment across functions. My role is a problem-solver and a coach. I’m empowering others to grow and succeed.

In parallel, I dedicate time daily to advancing key initiatives aligned with our mid-term goals. For example, when driving system automation, I monitor progress on system readiness, resource coordination, and milestone tracking to ensure we stay on course.

Ultimately, I aim to lead by example—balancing operational execution with strategic foresight, and fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

How long have you been at Lionbridge? How have you seen your team evolve over that period of time?

This year is my 11th anniversary with Lionbridge. I’ve seen our team evolve from a task-driven unit to a strategic partner trusted by global customers. We've built scalable frameworks, embraced cutting-edge tools, and cultivated a culture of ownership and growth. As a team lead, I focus on empowering others, helping each team member grow into their strengths while aligning our shared vision of excellence.

What is the most exciting opportunity on the horizon for your team this year?

This year, we’re not just using AI. We’re using it to reimagine localization. I’m leading initiatives exploring how AI can deepen cultural insight, while still preserving human touch. It’s about progress with purpose; using technology to enhance empathy, rather than replace it. My focus is inspiring the team to adopt a 2025 mindset, constantly questioning conventional approaches, and seeking innovative solutions that delight our customers.

Where do you live, and what do you enjoy most about that place?

I live in Jinan, a city where tradition and innovation coexist beautifully. I’m inspired by its intellectual energy, cultural depth, and natural beauty, from ancient springs to modern tech hubs. It’s a place that constantly reminds me of the value of balance: between reflection and action, heritage and progress.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside work, I find inspiration in art, music, and movement. I love visiting museums and art galleries. Each exhibition offers a new lens through which to understand culture and creativity. I'm also a fan of independent music and enjoy attending live performances, where the crowd’s energy and the artists’ authenticity always leave a lasting impression.

In addition to the arts, I also enjoy immersive gaming experiences. One of my favorite ways to unwind is by playing Call of Duty. Whether strategizing with teammates or diving into fast-paced action, the game offers a thrilling escape and a fun way to stay sharp.

What is something a tourist visiting your area shouldn’t miss?

Baotu Spring at sunrise is a must-see. Its quiet beauty captures Jinan’s soul. For those interested in history and culture, the Shandong Provincial Museum and the old town’s hidden alleyways offer a glimpse into the region’s rich heritage and timeless charm.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One piece of advice that has stayed with me is:

“What matters is the growth you've earned, the clarity you've built, and the identity you're reclaiming with each deliberate choice.”

Focusing solely on outcomes and metrics is easy in our fast-paced industry. This advice reminds me that true success is measured by how much we’ve grown through challenges, how clearly we understand our values, and how intentionally we shape our path forward. It’s a mindset that encourages resilience, reflection, and purpose.
