Thank you for taking the time to visit our Trust Center. At Lionbridge, earning the trust of our customers and stakeholders is one of our greatest privileges, and we take this mission very seriously. We define trust as the intersection of Security, Privacy, and Quality. When you entrust us with your content, we can provide assurances that we are adequately protecting it while it is in our possession, only using it for the purpose you intended to use it for, and returning a product that is of sufficient quality to meet your needs.
Our Security, Privacy, and Quality Programs are built on industry standard frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 17100. Lionbridge holds full certification to the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange, also known as TISAX. Our trust team has an independent reporting structure to ensure that we are independent in our assessment and testing. Additionally, we augment our own tests with external auditing procedures related to the certifications we hold.
Within the Trust Center, we have attempted to pre-empt many of your questions related to our trust program and to demonstrate its robustness. However, if you have further questions or feedback, please feel free to reach out to me or any of my team members.
–Doug Graham, Lionbridge’s Chief Trust Officer
Need more information on Lionbridge’s commitment to privacy, security, and quality? Here are the questions our customers frequently ask.
Yes. Lionbridge readily acknowledges its privacy and data protection obligations and maintains a reasonable compliance program to ensure the protection of all data received from Lionbridge’s customers. Lionbridge has built its program in a manner consistent with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and often uses that framework (including the defined terms provided in the GDPR) to communicate its commitments.
Yes. Lionbridge has appointed a Data Protection Officer, who is based in Ireland and can be contacted at data-privacy@lionbridge.com.
Lionbridge has adopted the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Processors) provided by the European Commission with respect to the transfer of Personal Data from the European Union to the United States of America.
Lionbridge follows regional and industry certifications, including TISAX and Cyber Essential Plus. Additionally, we have implemented additional organizational, technical, and security measures based on international standards (ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 27701:2019).
Yes. Lionbridge’s Information Security and Privacy Management Committee approves and distributes all ISO policies on our intranet site.
Lionbridge protects and encrypts customer confidential data both in transit and at rest. Customer data is transferred to Lionbridge over a Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection and stored encrypted at rest with AES256.
An ISO 9001 certification ensures that the products and services that Lionbridge provides consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. It also means having defined processes in place that are subject to an independent review. Being certified ensures that customers can have confidence in our systems. Having a quality management system (QMS) in place leads to satisfied customers, engaged employees, intentional and better planning, and a stronger and more efficient organization.
A quality management system is a set of policies, processes, and procedures required for planning and execution in the core business area of an organization. It is a system that ensures that Lionbridge meets regulations and both customer and stakeholder needs. In basic terms, a QMS requires that you say what you do (document your QMS), do what you say (follow that documentation), prove it (audit), and improve it. With a QMS in place, you do everything on purpose and for a reason.
A quality policy is a brief statement that aligns with an organization's purpose and strategic direction. It provides a framework for establishing quality objectives and includes a commitment to meet applicable requirements as well as to continually improve. Simply put, it is a general statement of our Lionbridge’s commitment to quality. The quality policy drives the entire function of the quality management system (QMS).
As an internationally recognized expert on security and privacy issues, Doug Graham speaks on topics like building a modern security program and overcoming cultural roadblocks.
Lionbridge embraces equal employment opportunity and a diverse workforce, making hiring and employment decisions based on individual merits and talent without regard to any protected status.
