Sadie’s Family Apple Pie

Ingredients:
- 4-5 medium apples, peeled and sliced (enough to fill a pie dish ¾ full)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- ¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the apples: Fill a standard pie dish about ¾ full with the peeled and sliced apples.
- Season the apples: Sprinkle the cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of sugar evenly over the apples.
- Make the topping: In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, flour, 1 cup of sugar, egg, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth.
- Assemble the pie: Pour the topping mixture evenly over the apples, spreading gently to cover.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set.
Let cool slightly before slightly. Delicious on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
