Lionbridge Awarded ISO 27701:2019 Certification

First language services provider to receive certification, underscoring Lionbridge’s commitment to customer data protection

Lionbridge, a global leader in translation and localization solutions, today announced it has achieved full certification to the ISO 27001:2013 and 27701:2019 standards. Compliant companies with this accreditation have certified their personnel, information technology (IT) systems, applications, policies, procedures, standards, tools, utilities and data used in the execution of services in accordance with the ISMS Statement of Applicability (SOA).

ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 27701:2019, awarded by processing company A-LIGN, certify Lionbridge’s end-to-end processes – not just the data center. This includes all of Lionbridge’s employees, processes and technologies.

Lionbridge wanted to go beyond the standard ISO 27001:2013 certification and achieve ISO 27701:2019 compliance as this certifies the company’s full data lifecycle, including personal data and not just storage. As a leading translation company, Lionbridge handles customer data and intellectual property daily. It is imperative that customers trust their provider’s information processes.
