In this installation of our Meet the Pride Series, meet Isis S., a Lionbridge Account Manager. For the past three years, Isis has blended her interest in languages and curiosity to help customers bridge communication gaps. In her off time, she loves pursuing her passion for community service through several local organizations.
As an Account Manager, I’m the primary connection point between Lionbridge and our enterprise customers. My role blends relationship-building with problem-solving, as I guide customers from every industry to their optimal translation and localization solutions. Every customer is unique, and I help them find the right combination of interpreters, linguists, AI-powered services, and subject matter experts.
What I enjoy most is the human element. Language is all about connection, and so am I. I love helping brands communicate with people they’ve never met in places they’ve never been. I also really enjoy earning customers’ trust.
My workday is typically focused on a few activities:
I’ve been working at Lionbridge for a little over three years. I’ve held a role as Account Manager and have actively participated in the Women @ Lionbridge group and I’ve acted as a member of the program management team. In that relatively short period of time, I’ve seen a huge transformation in the language industry, particularly because of AI. Lionbridge itself has also changed, from a language services provider to an AI-first company.
I’m most excited about connecting with customers and coworkers, especially across the world. I also love helping customers bridge challenging language gaps.
I sell these services because language is an exciting form of power. It can open doors for customers, providing opportunities to educate people, enter new markets successfully, and build a stronger presence in existing communities and/or markets.
I’m always happy to help customers expand their global reach and initiatives. This year, I’m particularly excited to delve into a few areas:
I got into this role because I’m drawn to relationship-driven, problem-solving roles. I was also attracted to Lionbridge’s material. I’m happy to use my background in community and language access to help remove communication barriers for customers and their target audiences. Lionbridge just felt like a natural extension of my own personal mission.
As I mentioned above, I have experience in community and language access. I volunteer a lot to support diverse voices in my area. I also serve on my city’s housing commission, helping ensure more people have access to stable, affordable homes. At my own home, I love spending time with my two teenage children and my adorable dog, Titan.
