That’s why when presented with an innovative program like ReacHire, we jumped at the opportunity to access a new pool of talent.

ReacHire is an organization founded by CEO Addie Swartz with a simple mission: to offer forward-thinking businesses the chance to hire experienced, career women looking to transition back into the workforce.

Lionbridge recognized Swartz’s initiative for its potential to not only support the success of women in the workplace, but also offer our team the chance to strengthen and grow.

The secret to a successful team

If you want to be the best, you have to employ the best. And the more diverse skillsets and talents you bring to your team, the stronger it becomes.

Cindy Hanshaw, a ReacHire recruit, says, “As a parent, I built many skills that are transferrable to a variety of careers or life-paths. I learned valuable time management strategies, patience, and flexibility. Each day of parenthood brought with it new and exciting challenges – I had to adapt to my evolving roles and circumstances.” Cindy then expresses why she prefers working with people with diverse backgrounds and experiences: “No matter where you are, you can’t have a homogenous group of people. You don’t get creativity out of that. There is incredible value in including people that have different experiences, such as parenthood. If you work with people of different age groups, genders, backgrounds, etc. that is going to bring a lot of value to your team.”
